STUDENT LIFE

Jyothianz day begins with assembly in the main inner-courtyard for all the classes at 9.10 AM. The assembly includes prayer, a national pledge, choir singing, reading of a selected passag, reading of the important news of the day, and the playing of the School band. We have mass P.T. for the Primary, the Secondary and the Higher Secondary Schools on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Yoga and meditation sessions have also been incorporated in the academic time table. The classes are scheduled from 9.20 AM to 3.20 PM. Apart from curriculum- based and examination-oriented teaching, the academic work includes project- based learning by the students, industrial visits and study tours. The School also provides opportunities for interaction with external specialists in various fields, including from abroad. Student exchange programmes are in position with schools and universities outside especially Germany. Foreign nationality teachers services are being availed students from time to time. These initiatives are part of the School’s larger strategy for giving the students a global perspective and equipping them to be truly citizens of the world village. The School conducts assessments and examinations as per CBSE Norms. The primary and secondary school follow the comprehensive and continuous evaluation systems. After every term-end examination, the students are given special guidance and coaching. Parents are also kept informed through ‘open house’ sessions.
